Elders President

Brethren,

I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving with opportunities to reflect on your blessings from Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

Please consider feeding the missionaries (Elder Christensen and Elder Nelson) this month.  Their meal calendar has plenty of open days for you to sign up.  Even if you drop a meal off for them, please ask them for a Zoom meeting to share a spiritual message with you.

Brother Steaven Lawrence is looking for a ride this Thursday Dec 3 departing between 8:30 am-9:00 am to and from 3535 N Portland in OKC.  He lives in the Orval Ray Tower in Del City.  Please let me know if you are available to help Thursday morning.  He should only need to be there approx 15 minutes.

This Saturday Dec 5 is the ward Relief Society Activity.  Please support the RS women in your lives by making it easy for them to attend (will be held via Zoom).  This may require you to watch children or do other things to allow them this time to build camaraderie and celebrate our Savior’s birth together.

If you aren’t busy doing that, we have been asked by stake leadership to assist in a service activity at Salyer Lake (the camp where we hold YW Camp, and Youth Conference).

We will be cutting up branches and burning the wood. There will be 20 missionaries there, but we also need help from brethren who can run chain saws, and others who can help us haul wood. There is a lot to be done so all help is welcome. Meet there at 9 am.

The address, per Google maps, is
24632–24708 SH-152
Gracemont, OK  73042

There are lots of other opportunities for service all around us, especially as we look for ways to share the light and joy we have been blessed with.  Please prayerfully seek inspiration of who you can personally serve despite the challenges of COVID social distancing.  You will be blessed with increased joy and feel the Spirit as you do so.

With Love,

David Qualls
