President Bellows

October 14, 2021

Brothers and Sisters,

I sent the letter below on Oct 7 to all the members of the Stake.  I thought it might be helpful send it out again and remind the members of our stake of the rare and unique opportunity to be with the Prophets of God.  So, I am inviting you again to consider this for your Sunday afternoon activity.

The First American Museum will host a reception for Tribal Leaders and some other invited guests from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the Museum prior the Devotional.  Following this reception, the guests at the Museum will come to the Stake center to view the Devotional.

We have asked the Moore and the OKC Wards to hold a combined Sacrament Meeting beginning at 9 am.  This will allow the building to be used later in the day for the Museum guests to view the Devotional in the Stake Center.  Elder and Sister Jones the area Authority Seventy who serves with the Oklahoma City Stakes, will attend the Sacrament Meeting in Moore.

With much love,

Pres. Bellows

October 7, 2021

We have been invited to participate in a Devotional with the Prophets.  President and Sister Nelson and Elder and Sister Uchtdorf are speaking in a devotional given in association with the First American Museum in Oklahoma.  This museum tells the story of the 39 tribes from the traditions and tribal stories as preserved in their family histories.

The Prophet Joseph Smith was very interested in bringing the Gospel to the early inhabitants of the American Continent.  This quest is being continued in efforts to assist the Native Americans to love their history and record family stories and genealogy.  Part of this effort is making available within the museum a Family Search interactive display on a smaller scale but similar to the displays in the Family History Center in Salt Lake City.  Members of the Church in Kansas and Oklahoma are invited to attend through Zoom.  Please join with the invited Native American Tribal Leaders and other members of the church in celebrating our association and with and love for our friends.

The information guiding us to the Devotional in shown in the attachment below.

Grateful for you service and love,

President Jeffrey Bellows
