Dear Brothers and Sisters:
I just spoke with Darrel Hardy, most of you know him and his family as he served for ~5 years as bishop prior to my call. You have probably heard of the terrible conditions in much of Texas due to severe sub-freezing conditions and lack of power across the state. Darrel said they have power for about 4 hours a day in their area. Many people are experiencing flooding due to frozen pipes bursting. I cannot imagine dealing with cold AND flooding water in my home. (The Hardys are doing okay and have not had that issue yet. Rachel’s leaving for her mission in California was delayed due to conditions, though.)
Please consider making special prayers for God’s children in Texas that relief may come soon.
